Rennick's Modeltune are delighted to have secured a local venue for racing every second Wednesday night starting on 17th of September. Thanks to Edmund Atcheson who found and agreed the use of the large hall at the Craigavon branch of the Drop Inn Ministries Centre at Highfield, Craigavon (some of you may know the venue as where Lindsay Cars or Irish Road Motors used to be based). The Drop Inn Ministries do fantastic work in the local area providing youth club facilities three evenings per week, and all race fees collected on the night will be donated to the charity. I would like to thank the Drop Inn Ministries for allowing us use of their hall. The hall is presently suitable for both touring cars and off road buggys, though any electric model is welcome. The intention is to keep the racing fun, introducing new people to our fabulous hobby. Rules - we will play that by ear, but thinking super stock (19T) and Tamiya Class (Silver Mabutchi 540 motors). Dont think we need many more rules. Race fees will be £2-00 for under 16's and £3-00 for everyone else. Tea and coffee will also be available at a small cost, again all funds going to the Drop Inn Ministries. The fun kicks off at 7pm on Wednesday 17th September - we look forward to seeing you all there. |
